CHEWYSTORIES Knights' relief

CHEWYSTORIES, the mainstay of this journal. Here I couple manips with ficlets to tell an ongoing
narrative. This has always set chewableprose apart as a place where you can find porn
accompanied by prose. The result being a more meaningful and believable slash fantasy, enjoy.

Ficlet | Right when Merlin thought it not possible for Arthur to be any more insensitive toward him, he trumped all previous examples of meanness by offering up Merlin's body as relief for his knights. Arthur had never shared his manservant like this before. Sure, Merlin's duties extended to feeding and cleaning up after the knights while they were away on missions. But now, whenever horny, Merlin's hole was theirs to use as they willed. And often demand was so high, Merlin found himself servicing more than one at once. But it wasn't the sex that bothered him, or even how cheap the experience made him feel. It was that none of it seemed to bother Arthur. He didn't even care enough to keep Merlin to himself.

The GoldenChewy is an annual prize that reaffirms my commitment to fostering a better comment culture on this journal. It is awarded to the user with the most Best ChewyStories Comment wins in the year.

The user who leaves the best comment on a chewystories post will have the opportunity to request one manip (posted prior to my open access policy) they would like made public. In order to be in the running you must be a chewyresident and have posted your comment on the chewystories entry before I publish a new chewystories post, on which the winner will be announced and invited to choose one manip to make public. If there are no outstanding comments, no winner will be chosen.

On the anniversary of this journal (9 January), the user with the most 'wins' of that year will be invited to request a manip of their very own. Not only will I create a slash manip of your choosing (with any two characters from any fandom you desire), but you will also receive the hi-res file of your manip (and be the only one other than myself who will have it). Hopefully this will encourage more of you to comment more generously. Let the feedback begin.

And the Best ChewyStories Comment for the last chewystories post goes to zdae69 (tally: 1) for this comment, your meaningful engagement with the ficlet and manip (on a fandom you aren't even invested in) completely blew me away once again, thank you. Keep up the effort everyone, because the final prize is pretty special.

Wow, Arthur is just being a Grade-A Prick now... (Seriously, he deserves a good kick in the round table for this one.) Poor poor Merlin... That would be an AWFUL feeling to just be thrown away like an old toy. T___T. But on a happier key, at least the knights are getting some fulfilment! ;)

Okay, the first thing I have to say about the manip is that Gawain's hair is PERFECTION! EXTREMELY nice detail on that, Joe! But not just the hair, the skintones and blending are perfect as well! ESPECIALLY on Percival, the shadows from the head and the body match up FLAWLESSLY! I know my comments sound so repetitive, but you've hit 10/10 perfection with every single one now! :O

CANNOT WAIT to see the next installment of this, Joe! I don't know what I look forward to more, the ficlets or the manips. ^_____^

*blushes* Thank you so much Nolan, as always, your support means the world to me. I laughed so hard at your 'kick in the round table' comment, love that. And yes, he is being a massive prat ... but don't worry, it's for good reason, as you'll find out later in this series ;)

Thank you for your nice words about the technical components of the manip, I appreciate it so much, especially given your skill in the area. Also, thank you for supporting my ficlets too :).

It seems you've been busy too, I LOVE your icon (I went over to your journal and saw your Jensen/Tom icon also). They look amazing, I love the animation, the wink especially, you've got all the movements down perfectly, especially the hair. Reminds me of how talented you are and how much I'm looking forward to your next Packed entry.

Haha! Can't wait to find out the reason Merlin is being a jerk! (Isn't it so fun to work with dickish characters?! One of the reasons Tom is one of my faves to work with... Haha!)

And thank you very much for your kind words about my icons! ^_____^ I've been studying some cartoons lately. Watching the episodes at 50% speed to see some of the techniques used. I've been busy with some elements of Packed, but mostly concepts. Actually, I made these animations at work. (Don't worry, had permission to slack on slow days.) Did them all in Photoshop. (I really need flash... Haha!) Packed is close but yet far away at the moment. I've started episode 3 for the seventh time... Haha! I feel like if I could get over that lump I could really fly with the series. I've also been working on concepts for the western Packed spin-off "West in Pieces" (Also have a bit of the animation done for the final, musical scene of it.) And also drawing up concepts for the egyptian spin-off, which is a LONG way off... (Taylor's the main protagonist in that one... ;)) I just kinda worry that I've oversold Packed... I've uploaded all of these HQ pics in the bios, and the comics are just sloppy compared to those... Haha! Hopefully things'll slow down here soon. (Starting a bit of college next week, though... T____T)

Anyway, there goes another rambling session from me... :P

So how are things over on your end, Joe?

Great to hear from you Nolan, have been wondering how you've been doing.

Everything journal you've been working on sounds amazing, I really can't wait to see it. I'm particularly excited about the Egyptian and Western themed work. And as per your 'sloppy comics', I know for sure that everyone, including myself, will find them amazing, I couldn't imagine you ever creating anything even remotely sloppy. That's very exciting about college, what are you studying?

Things are good on my end, have a few manips up my sleeve, but have been pacing myself so that I can still post something once or twice a month. I have been particularly busy, and the ficlets take a while to put together.

Am thinking about overhauling the journal again ... but don't know what I would do. Sadly I'm noticing much less traffic on LJ, hopefully that'll pick up through the year.

Hope you're well.

Trust me, what I have completed is pretty sloppy... (I'm actually considering making layered renders of the characters, then I just have to reposition them and interchange parts; sorta like puppets...(While still doing some parts of it free hand.) It would mean delaying it a bit longer, but I could really pump them out quickly if I did it that way, in color, and at a higher quality.)

College-wise, I'm taking a course to prepare me to take my national certification exam to be a pharmacy technician. (I could just go take the certification test without any education, but I would like to go into the job knowing as much as possible since lives would be in my hands.) And if I like that enough, I might consider studying to become a full-on pharmacist. (I still wanna do cartoons, but it's such a hit and miss field that I would like something to fall back on.)

Can not wait to see what manips and ficlets you have up your sleeve, Joe! With how well your ficlets are planned out and written, and how excellent your manips are, it's obvious how much time you put into them. But it really pays off! To be honest, your work is really about the only fanfiction I read. Yours flows so nicely, unlike most of what I've read elsewhere, which is usually so choppy it causes me to get confused, and just give up after the first two paragraphs. I also like the fact that you keep the characters' personalities similar to that of the actual show's/movie's/book's, but add your own charm to them at the same time. :)

And yes, I've noticed the traffic diminishing on livejournal as well. It saddens me, but at the same time, I kinda like it. Usually smaller communities are much closer than large ones. I usually notice more hate floating around larger sites. That's one thing about livejournal that I love, I haven't ran into many jerks. I know there are some everywhere, but there seems to be a minimal amount floating around here.

Layered renders sound great, I can't tell you how much I look forward to your journal updates. Seeing a new entry from you always brightens my day.

Pharmacy technician, that all sounds very specialised, good luck with that. I have always imagined you as someone passionate about helping people. You have a good heart Nolan. If you decide to pursue pharmacy study, I'm sure you'll excel at it.

Haha, well you don't have to wait any longer, I just posted my latest chewystories entry, I hope you enjoy it ;). And thank you for your kind words about my writing, writing has always been a passion of mine, and it's so nice to know it's appreciated. As you know, your support means a great deal to me.

Yes I've always liked that about LJ. It will always be my home, I think it lends itself much better to settling compared with other platforms. And I agree, lovely people. I've made some wonderful friends on LJ, you being just about the best. As always, thank you for your friendship. *hugs*
